Lately, we often hear of the name, Leona Lewis on TV or radio.

She is twenty-three years old and from England.
Leona Lewis won the third series of British reality singing contest and debuted.


Then she released this album, Spirit and it has debuted at number one in nine countries so far.

It was sold million copies within just10days in UK.

This album was released in Japan in April.


In May, she came to Japan for public relations and appeared on some program, including Mezamashi TV and Music Station.


She was decribes as "next Mariah Carey" or "the miracle once in twenty years"

I'll this time write about As I am/Alicia Keys.






She was born in Manhattan and started playing the piano when she was seven.
She writes almost all her own songs.

She takes classic, jazz, or rock style in her music and she performs with the piano.






Her songs and strong voice fascinate many people.

This is one of the reasons that why she was awarded the Grammy Award ten times since she came out in 2001.

In As I Am, the performance is more simple but powerful and her voice stands out.

It is only the singer who is good at a song like her to can do such a thing.
The lead single of this album, No One, is a kind of mix of R&B and jazz.

The massage of this song is "Every thing's gonna be alright"

Dangerously in Love

Today I'd like to introduce this CD , Dangerously in Love.
This is the debut solo album of American singer, Beyonce, released in June 2003.

Featuring many musicians, such as Jay-Z and Missy Elliot, the album include a combination of up-tempo and slow ballade.

It won first prize in Billboard and sold 317,000 copies in its first week.

"Crazy in Love" with Jay-Z, who wrote rap verse of this song was released as the album's lead single.

It became one of the biggest hits of that summer.
The introduction of it "Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh, oh no no" is too famous!!

Over the end of the summer, "Baby Boy" the second single from Dangerously in Love which features Sean Paul was released and it also became one of the biggest hits of 2003.

This song is sexy and mysterious.

Beyonce won five awards the Grammy awards 2004 for her solo effort.

In the first half of the album, it contains upbeat songs but then, after the fifth track most of the songs are slow tempo. The songs of 'Dangerously in Love' are almost love song like "I'm crazy about you"

By the way, on April 4th, 2008, Beyonce and Jay-Z were married in New York City.
